Well. I've only just gone and done it. *squeals!*
Booked my ticket to the BritMums Live Blogging Event in June, that is!
This is a huge event where lots of influential bloggers get together and cheer each other on. I'm looking forward to hearing Ruby Wax and Sarah Brown speak, along with some other favourite bloggers, but I'm most excited about meeting my old school friend who blogs over at Typecast. I've not seen her for years. Around 30 years in fact!
Already I find myself a little bit jittery and apprehensive. I don't actually have a huge blog following, and probably never will, so
that makes me quite small fry in amongst some of these guys. Of course I love the followers I've got though, and would never say no to some more...
With so many people there though, will I just fade into the background like the shy, retiring wallflower I really am? Am I actually capable of making new friends? Will it actually feel like being back in the school playground, with some fun but also some bitching?! Will I just realise that I'm actually not all that funny and no-one wants to hear what I've got to say?

See you there!
ReplyDeleteYou will be find. Lots and lots of people will be in same boat as you, new bloggers, established bloggers and almost everyone feeling slightly apprehensive. Trust me it's not a case of making new friends more of friends you've not yet met. See you there!
