I'm going to BritMums Live 2015!

Not a very original post title, I'll admit, but it is at least truthful. Britmums Live, for any of my non-blogging readers, is a 2-day conference held annually in London, run by the very talented Susanna and Jennifer. Around 700 bloggers, male and female (despite the title, Britmums are very inclusive!), meet up to listen to advice on how to write, design, photo and generally blog better, and for the chance to hear from top brands in the industry.

One of my previous times attending, this happened. I booked my ticket for 2015 months ago and can't believe the time has nearly come. I've read lots of memes by other bloggers (there's 120 in the link up now!), but have only just seen the ones from two of my favourite people (Vic from VeViVos and Jane from Our Little Escapades) in the last couple of days, so I figured if it's not too late for them, I still got time! Here are my answers to the set questions, I'm sure you've all been dying to know this....

  • Name
  • Steph

  • Blog
  • Steph's Two Girls

  • Twitter ID
  • @stephc007 (and stephstwogirls on Instagram, my new fave social media)

  • Height
  • 5 foot 5. And a half. The half is not at all important.

  • Hair
  • Yes, lots of it. Actually it's not all that long (and will have just been cut again) but it is very thick. Which some people say they would really like, but actually it's quite a pain to not be able to wash your hair in the morning and leave it to dry naturally. Quite apart from the weird waves, mine would still be wet at night time if I tried that. Anyhow, I'm rambling. It's brown and above shoulder length on account of my age.

  • Eyes
  • Two of them. What sort of question is this?!

  • Is this your first blogging conference?
  • I've been to Britmums twice before, but it's such a large event that I always feel nervous about turning up. I don't find it easy to stop people and say hello, and whilst I know that there are plenty of others going to be there who feel the same way, how do I know if I'm about to stop one of those, as opposed to ones that are already sooooo confident and popular?! Self-belief must be a great asset. That's not to say they're not all lovely people of course. Oh dear, rambling again.

  • Are you attending both days?
  • Yes! So much to see and do, don't want to miss a thing!

  • What are you most looking forward to at BritMums Live 2015?
  • The keynote speech from a certain lady (who I don't want to put any pressure on by naming!) because it will take so much strength for her to read it. Also, the chance to meet up with other #EmbraceHappy lovely ladies and share lots of happy hugs, and hearing all the other amazing speakers over the two days - there are so many, it almost feels like I'm the only one they didn't ask! ;)

  • What are you wearing?
  • Honestly, I have no idea right now. So much going on around here, it'll be a miracle if I've got any clean clothes to wear.

  • What do you hope to gain from BritMums Live 2015?
  • Knowledge and Inspiration. Not asking for much, am I?!

  • Do you have any tips to pass on to others who may not have been before?
  • The first year I went, I was equally as disorganised and last minute, and I knew even fewer bloggers back then so I was actually very nervous. I did a quick tweet to see who else was going, and the lovely Steph from Was This In The Plan? responded first. As she had such a good name, I suggested we meet for coffee beforehand so we didn't have to walk in alone, and I have to say that was one of my better ideas. We had such a laugh that first year; having a partner to enjoy it with made it so much better (thanks Steph, will miss you this year :( ). So my top tip would be to try and arrange to meet someone, whether you know anyone already or not!

Just one more tip though; if you see me, would you please stop me and say hello, even if you have forgotten my name or my blog's name?! I won't be offended, honest! And if I stop you (unlikely, but you never know), don't be scared. I hope there's one or two who would vouch for me and agree that I'm one of the 'nice' ones....

(I honestly can't find a photo of me without these two terrors stuck to my side... maybe someone can change that for me this weekend?!)
